Hermes Personal

Privacy policy

Updated

I’m Joonhoo Bae. This policy covers the Hermes installation I run on my homelab for my own use.

Gmail access

With my permission, Hermes can read messages, headers and attachments, manage messages and labels, and draft or send email. It uses this access for tasks I request or schedule.

Processing and storage

Google access tokens, conversation history and task records are stored on my homelab. Email content needed for a task is sent to OpenAI, my configured AI provider. OpenAI handles that content under its privacy policy and my account settings.

When I use Hermes through Discord, requests and replies also pass through Discord.

I keep saved conversations and task records until I delete them. This website uses no analytics or tracking cookies.

Use of Google data

I use Gmail data for my email tasks. I don’t sell it or use it for advertising. Its use and transfer are subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Access and deletion

Access can be revoked in Google Account permissions. This stops new Gmail requests. Saved conversations and task records must be deleted separately; content already sent to OpenAI is governed by its own retention rules.
